starting a totally new blog can get a little messy, and i'm sure for awhile i'll be here and there, and referring to things on that old blog, and driving you all totally nuts, but it will die down, i swear. i thought that for the sake of all of our sanity's (is that how you'd say that?) i would just get it down where it is exactly that we are at right now.
devin | that dear sweet man of mine just finished up his second week of school. he is taking 19 credit hours this semester - his busiest semester yet, and he just dove right in! he is taking a lot of classes, and he's at this point now where he knows everyone in his classes, and he is familiar with his professors (he's taking a class from my dad again - isn't that weird/awesome?) so he is really comfortable at school, even though he has to spend 12 hours there 2 days a week (gag me, ugh). he has also recently returned from a climbing/backpacking trip in the uinta's with his brother and all the dogs (which i swear i will post about, because the photos he got are incredible!). climbing has kind of started winding down with fall approaching, so not so much of that lately. as far as work goes, i think he's kind of dealing with the calm before the storm right now. summer camps are coming to a close, and the new gym is getting closer and closer to opening, so i think things are about to get real crazy for him. he's also just wrapped up the editing for the last few photography sessions he's done, so it's nice to have that out of the way!
katie | i have obviously been spending every free second getting every detail of this new blog exactly how i want it, and making the transfer from old blog to new blog (it's a lot more work than i anticipated!) work has been a little slower than i would like, but steady. things are going to get really busy once we get cold weather, so i'm just going to enjoy it while it lasts. i've also been kept very busy by helping my sister in law with her etsy shop! just this week, she put me in charge of all of her marketing, so i've been busy putting together a new blog for her boutique, posting on instagram and facebook, and coming up with other spiffs and contests and giveaways to get things rolling with that! it's a lot of fun, but a lot of work! i have loved working with amanda though. after 8 full hours in a body shop, it's sort of a saving grace to be elbow deep in lace and ruffles, with all the girl talk you could possibly want. my little sister gets married next week (ahhh!!!!) so we've been running in circles getting everything finalized for the wedding. i've been put in charge of decorating the dessert table, and it's a much more noble calling than it seems like. i've also got at least 5 different appointments next week, all wedding related. but seriously. i'm so excited for this wedding. it's going to be amazing.
cooper | coop's been extremely busy breaking in his new nylabone this week. they are his favorite bones and he goes through them so fast, but you can tell he hates them when they're new, because he will chew on them like it's a chore until they get nice and broken in. he has been exceptionally sleepy and snugly lately, but also especially hyper, when he's in the right mood. he's officially mastered catching things (balls, treats, bugs, etc). which to us we're like it's about time. i mean, as a puppy, i would throw a treat right at his mouth and he would let it bounce off his nose without even flinching. zero reaction. so that's good news. he's still the greatest dog, and my favorite little buddy. i'm sure i would be really lonely and sad with how much time devin spends with work and school if it weren't for this pup. he has also been found on more than one occasion now, in the bathroom, in the tub. by himself. he's so weird.
