Katie, Lately

 

i sort of forget sometimes that my sister and her husband have Ignacio, their pet dragon. he has his own bedroom, he's absolutely ginormous, and i'm scared to death of him.

 

cooper has been the weirdest lately. i don't know how to describe it, but any time you blow something out of your mouth (like, i had a hershey kiss in my mouth and blew it out) he freaks out. he can't handle it. he will run and hide under the bed, and it takes several minutes of coaxing to get him to come back out. you don't even have to have something in your mouth, if you just blow, he will run and hide. i have no explanation.

 

he has also got into the habit of making a spot for himself, when there isn't any room by me. he will just force his way onto my lap and this is the result.

 

and he sits "pretty" like this, all the time. it's adorable.

 

cooper has hated baths since the beginning of time, so we decided to try a shower instead. still hates it.

 

a picture i took peeking through our front window to spy on him as we were coming home. we've been trying (and failing) to house break him, and just let him roam while we're gone instead of putting him in his pen, but we can't quite trust him yet, we've learned. we'll revisit this in a few months when he's a bit older.

 

what i love about this dog is that he doesn't care if i just want to veg and watch tv. he's totally content to grab a toy and play quietly next to me.

 

devin teases me for buying my jeans pre-ripped. they were on sale, okay?!

 

finally scoring the perfect chunky knit sweater is cause for celebration. i live in this thing. i'm wearing it now.

love his bright brown eyes - and also love this OREO POPCORN. yeah. that's right. oreo popcorn. nevermind that this bag was like, twelve dollars. it's worth every penny. this cute little popcorn shop is in the district, near our house. highly recommend it.

 

he acts so privileged when he gets to wear his collar and a bandana. i love that he loves it.

 

i'm trying to like mangos, but they are so perfume-y to eat alone. mango smoothies, though.

 

this is dinner when devin works nights.

THIS IS MY HUSBAND AS A CHILD. I CANNOT EVEN HANDLE IT. I have high hopes for our children, because Devin was the most adorable kid in the world.

let's talk about these leggings for a second. the most stretchy, comfortable things in history. they were so cheap, and come in sooooo many different patterns, it's hard to choose! i couldn't say no to cheetah, and i also got a pair of leather ones, that are equally comfortable and stretchy! it's crazy. if you want some, let me know and i'll point you in the right direction! i'm definitely going back for more.
