okay, so I think I've mentioned that the dapper gentleman in the middle, Elder D. Todd Christofferson, is actually my great uncle. It's pretty cool. Even cooler is that Uncle Todd took some time last week out of his busy schedule and sat down with my younger brother, and his 3 cousins (all of these boys are leaving on missions this year). He spoke with them and gave advice and counsel. How many guys get that kind of experience? I am so proud of all 4 of them! The one on the far left is headed to Canada soon. The one 2nd from the left went into the MTC this week, the 4th one from the left gets his call this week (hopefully!), and my little brother on the far has started his papers and will be leaving in the fall, we think! This is blowing my mind! These boys were just babies!

signed up for birchbox this year and i'm LOVING it. every product so far has been right up my alley.
remember how we got called as SUNBEAM TEACHERS?! we wrote cards to the parents of all the kids in our class, and i realized it was the first time we'd ever been addressed as brother and sister ashby!
speaking of sunbeams, here are a few of them. have you ever tried to hold the attention of a dozen 3 year olds for 45 minutes? we take regular breaks to "get wiggles out" which means we let them run around for at least 5 minutes at a time. these boys can be tough, but my heart just bursts for them! i love them so much already.

so devin and i collaborated and made this amazing sign for scarlett's nursery and it took us forever to finish it, but it was worth it! it turned out beautiful, and looks so perfect above her changing table.
